Why, why, why?

The overall concept of KidsCircle.io convinced us: a small childcare ratio with a maximum of four children in a group, the very careful selection of the Kids Coaches, the flexibility in booking the appointments and of course the variety of themes of the rooms in Villa Kunterbunt.

For which problems does digital childcare offer a solution?

Childcare is a particularly big challenge in Corona times. The majority of G+J employees currently work from the mobile office and have to balance childcare and work at home. We would like to support parents at least a little bit in their everyday working life with the help of digital childcare.

In which cases do your employees use this innovative form of childcare?

Of course, this offer is a great way to bring some variety into the children's daily routine. And employees can attend an appointment in the mobile office without being disturbed or work on a topic in a concentrated manner.

What channels did you use to communicate the offer to employees?

Via our intranet - which we call Greenport.

How do you assess the time required for the introduction?

After we had clarified the internal processes prior to the introduction of digital childcare, KidsCircle.io provided us with the technical infrastructure within 24 hours.

That's what they say employees

"My ten-year-old son uses the offer twice a week, mostly on the days of alternating lessons when he has no face-to-face lessons. He likes the chat hour/reading room best. The Kids Coaches are super nice and very dedicated and they actually manage to keep attention high for 60 minutes."

Katja, Territory

"Felix (10) experimented and did magic today. Given his age, I was a little worried that he wouldn't find it quite so exciting. He's slowly becoming cool... but he really liked it. The little one (5) is next. Then we can go into a meeting without interruption."

Christoph, G+J

"They were in the "Experiments and Magic Room". A story was read aloud, painted and three magic tricks or experiments were performed or partly imitated. The time flew by and they both asked when the next time would be. Now they wanted to perform the magic tricks - but they were arguing about which children's room should be the control room ;D But it was a great campaign by Gruner. Thank you very much! We will use it again!

Why, why, why?

We came across KidsCircle when the decision was made to close the daycare centres and primary schools at the beginning of December 2020. We learned from the first lockdown that this would be a difficult situation for colleagues with young children. The compatibility of job and family has always been important to us as an employer and the KidsCircle offer came at the right time to relieve parents in the short term.

For which problems does digital childcare offer a solution?

On the one hand, if there is a short-term need for Childcare and you want to cover this need in a high-quality way and not via "Netflix" or pure media consumption. But there is also an acute need - for example, if an important meeting is pending that cannot be postponed. And last but not least, when the child feels the need to play with someone other than mum, dad or a sibling and to get new impulses... My own son, for example, learned magic tricks and enthusiastically demonstrated them to the family. He certainly wouldn't have learned that from us :-)

In which cases do your employees use this innovative form of childcare?

This is often the case when critical meetings or workshops are scheduled that are difficult to postpone. However, there are also children who arrange to meet friends from the daycare centre via KidsCircle and are then looked after there together for one or two hours.

What channels did you use to communicate the offer to employees?

Via our monthly HR newsletter. Furthermore, the offer information is available on our intranet.

How do you assess the time required for the introduction?

The time required was actually minimal. From the initial contact to the launch was just under ten days - the launch itself was very pragmatic and quick; we received the registration code on the same day we placed the order. It was also great to see how agile KidsCircle is in responding to customer requests. Within a few days there was a dashboard for use and the information on how to carry out the taxation of the imputed income.

That's what they say employees

"My eldest daughter (soon to be 6 years old) is thrilled with the online Childcare, so that after the test phase we continue to use the KidsCircle offer privately on a regular basis. In the meantime, she also makes appointments with friends to attend a lesson together. Especially the "painting and craft room" and the "dance and movement room" are very popular. I find the Childcare very varied and loving. I would not have thought before that an hour online Childcare would be so much fun for my daughter and that she would also learn many new things (such as what a collage is and how to make one). For me, this is a good help during Corona time and for my daughter, a welcome change."

N. Chadoulis

"Our daughter was a little skeptical at first. She was not used to talking to people via a computer and doing joint activities. However, this uncertainty quickly faded away. Today she is already looking forward to it very much. For us, this offer is another building block in the care portfolio. It increases flexibility and reduces the bad feeling of always having to resort to Netflix and co."
